Global warming & climate change are threatening to the existence of mankind. Coastal countries like Bangladesh are the main victims of these. Low-lying countries like Bangladesh have to face horrific natural disasters every year. Outbreak of diseases are also bieng exacerbated due to global warming & climate change he added.
Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani said, trees are the savior of nature and ecosystem. Unplanned civilization and emission of deleterious gases forcing human lives towards a great danger. Besides planting more and more trees, leading and industrialised countries need to take effective measures to decrease the emission of detrimental gases. Though many international conferences, treaties are bieng held, cooperative action is not taken yet, Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani added.
He urged the world leaders to take global warming and climate change into their consideration seriously. He urged everyone to plant at least three trees and raise mass awareness to resist global warming.
For about 40 years Hazrat Syed Mainuddin Ahmed Maizbhandari Trust has been taking countrywide tree plantation & distribution programme every year. Alike evey year, Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani Maizbhandari, the chairman of the trust announced month-long tree plantation programme throughout Bangladesh on 1st July, 2020. Since then with the association of the trust, Anjuman-e-Rahmania Mainia Maizbhandaria and Mainia Youth Forum have been observing the programme in many districts & sub-districts. On 21st July, 2020 Mainia Youth Forum, Chandpur district started month-long tree plantation programme, inaugurated by Syed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani Maizbhandari.
